    Default Star Trek-inspired songs

Yet another chat spin off thread.

Here's The Firm singing Star Trekkin', which at one time at least was de riguer at every sci-fi convention around here

This next one is a bit NSFW, you've been warned.

    There must be loads more!

    "Beam me to the stars,
    beam me up to Mars,
beam me up to see Starship Edelweiss!"
Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.

I know Leslie Fish has several other Trek inspired songs, but for the life of me, I can't recall a single one, now. Some are humor, many are straight, too.

I'll dig around at the Pegasus Awards site to see what I can find that sparks a memory.

    Beastie Boys Ch-Check It Out.

Plus they drop Star Trek name checks into a lot of their songs, particularly on "Hello Nasty"
Give me whiskey when I'm thirsty,Give me a cold beer when I'm dry, Give me root beer when I'm sickly, Give me a headstone when I die.

Well their is always this one:

and this kind of counts I think:

    From the Chanukah Song
"You don't need 'Deck the Halls' or 'Jingle Bell Rock'
"When you can spin a dreidel with Captain Kirk and Mister Spock –
    Both Jewish!"

"White & Nerdy" by Weird Al has a Trek Reference too.

Surely this must count (yes, those are the actual lyrics):

This place has a lot of good stuff too.
