Why are there two teams in the Premiership with claret and blue kits (West Ham and Aston Villa)? A couple of teams in red I could understand, but claret and blue isn't really a common colour combination, is it?

No idea, but are there any more in the other divisions, besides Burnley? Perhaps there is some historical reason?

West Ham play in the same colours as Aston Villa because the father of one of their players won a set of Villa strips in a bet in 1899.
Burnley changed their colours from green to claret in 1910, supposedly because their committee felt that they had brought luck to Aston Villa.
It is not clear why Aston Villa chose claret and blue as their colours. It may be to do with Hearts playing in maroon.

The real question is why there are no teams with a green kit. Too Irish?
Personally, I get a bit tired of all the red and blue. That's half the reason I want Hull to stay up. Other countries' teams seem to have more varied colors than the EPL.
