Default The Largest Mega-city in the World.

China is planning to merge nine cities in the Pearl River Delta to create a superhuge Megacity. It will be 26 times the size of Greater London. They are planning to put all the infrastructure to link these cities as one and it will cost several billion pounds.

    More details here

The only problem they have is what to call it.

I would call it Pearl City, but if they name it MegaCity 1, we know the apocalypse is nigh.

    Wow, just wow.

Well overall for land use, if they cluster humanity and leave lots of open space I am in favor of the idea. But the infrastructure needs are amazing.

From what friends who've visited China have said that area is already a de facto megacity!

They should call it Air Strip 1.

Yeah, this is really true. If you could get people in close proximity to one another with some good infrastructure, it would be a great thing environmentally speaking. More open land, less need to travel.

AG, that is an incredible graphic. Too bad it'll never happen but it's amazing to think about.
