Default Are there any realistic lasers in movies?

I mean lasers used in combat. It seems like every laser ever used as a weapon travels at something like walking speed. Sometimes lasers are the speed-of-light kind, but that is for things like cutting a hole in steel or something.

So I ask you - any lasers used in place of guns where the lasers travel at the speed of light, or is it always the Star Wars style, glowing missile thingy?
Something tells me we haven't seen the last of foreshadowing.

Also since I'm on an 80s movie kick, The Manhattan Project has some semi-realistic lasers involved.

Sad, I was also think Real Genius might be the answer. The first big successful test was on briefly and had burnt through walls and the statue. It seemed to treat lasers as speed of light tools and not Sci-Fi guns.
