I found an anthem for the boards.
I found an anthem for the boards.
Give me whiskey when I'm thirsty,Give me a cold beer when I'm dry, Give me root beer when I'm sickly, Give me a headstone when I die.
Works for me.
I knew before I opened the thread that it was going to be that!
It brings back fond memories of a pal going "off on one" to that on the dancefloor of the Manchester Ritz Ballroom.
Everytime the song went "whoooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!", he took a run along the dancefloor and kicked some poor lass's handbag, but the bouncers caught him on the long run-in to the 3rd one.
To sleep, perchance to experience amygdalocortical activation and prefrontal deactivation.
That brings back bad memories of a bad children's cartoon.
Of course, this version of the some is much more interesting.
Something tells me we haven't seen the last of foreshadowing.
Johnny, that's just the song that came to mind when I saw this thread!
It does capture something of the manic energy here...
I love The Toy Dolls.
My daughter loves Nellie. I wish the rest of their music was a little more, uh, G-rated, so I could share it with my kid. Dig That Groove is an awesome tune.
