    Default Christmas Baking Recipes

I'm going to do some baking this weekend because I want to give out gifts on Monday. I've got a few tried and true recipes (including some unbelievable sugar cookies) but I always like to experiment with new things. Does anybody have any traditional recipes that they make every year?

This is my sugar cookie recipe. I love it because it doesn't require chilling and cutting the dough! They're also very rich and thick cookies. The only thing I'm going to do different this year is used the butter-flavored shortening.
I'm still swimming in harmony. I'm still dreaming of flight. I'm still lost in the waves night after night...

Do you have an idea or an article you would like to see on the Electric Elephant? Email me at theelectricelephant(at)gmail.com!

I'm going to try those sugar cookies. I am so pathetic at rolling and cutting cookies that when I make them, I shape them into other things...like roll little balls and form wreaths with them, or twist ropes into candy canes.

I have a couple good recipes I will post. One of my favorites is SUPER easy but looks hard...they are chocolate cookies with maraschino cherries on top, and drizzled with chocolate.
