    Wow. The symmetry is amazing. I'm assuming that's a head and what will one day become a face? Please tell me that's what it is. That's the only possibility. there's more to it, right?

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the face...eyes, ears, mouth, nasal cavity...it's all there. Pretty freaky how all that develops into a recognizable face in a couple months' time!

    Hatshepsut...just remember, at this phase it was really really really tiny.

    Yes, gills. My youngest son still has a gill mark on his neck, a minor defect of which he is oddly proud.

    Yeah, if you've got an idea about embryonic development it's possible to see how all of those little bits develop into recognizable features. Not that they're recognizable features now, but you can sort of see what they'll become.

    Also, it kind of looks like that "girl without a face" presurgery.
