Default Order of the Stick is back from hiatus

    Strip #673.

I never even heard of the strip until a few weeks ago, and read through all previous 672 episodes in a week. Strange now, to only get one at a time and have to wait. (Man, at two strips a week -- or whatever it is -- that battle sequence in the Azure City must have felt interminable.)

Welcome to the world the rest of us live in. I did the same thing you did, but when I caught up it was about a month (real time) before Roy died. That was literally years ago at this point.

But still, I'm hooked, and totally stoked that it's starting up again. I expect the strip to be slow and plodding for a while while the new storyline gets set up, and then turn into a fantastic breakneck, edge of your seat affair like it did this last time around. It seems to be the way of things. I am sure it reads fine in book form.

And I was eagerly waiting, too. I kept forgetting about the hiatus and checking the site, and remembering it was on hiatus (lather, rinse, repeat).

I am glad it's back! Now I can find out what happens next...

Two strips a week? More like one strip a week, maybe. Like Goblins, the update schedule is a bit frustrating, but the content is well worth it. I'm wondering what the deal is with Darkwing though? Like, maybe the bird died and that's its ghost?

Wasn't that a running metafictional joke?

#679 is up now and it looks like Vaarsuvius is finally beginning to learn.

I think the break has helped the story.

Is it bad that I'm really beginning to love V's familiar?
