HOC, for the record I didn't say anything about anyone not liking those two. I only speak for myself. Personally, I just got tired of taking Featherlou's bitchy comments directed at me. The picture I posted was to show Jimbo exactly how Feather used to do to me. She'd post a picture of some blonde looking totally stupid doing something and say "Look guys, it's Sleeps!" even though I *never* did that to her. I told her on more than one occasion that her comments were hurtful (as did a few others) and instead of apologizing she would defend her behavior. So I posted a picture of a fat woman and said "Personal Responsibility" I'd have to post at least 10 more to even begin to catch up with her.

Actually, in my OP, I wasn't talking about the larger fight at all. I was simply commenting on the incredibly, incredibly stupid "nobody likes you" argument. First because it's something high-school kids think up. And second, because it's, well, simply not even remotely true when it comes to featherlou and Jimbo.

Well, it's kind of been a pattern over the last few weeks that a lot of people -- me, for one, and Sleeps, and Binks, just off the top of my head -- who were perfectly copacetic with featherlou and jimbo have all been pretty much driven into disliking them. I'm sure it's not everyone (although none of these throngs of people you seem to think like them so much ever seem to want to come to their defense). But they've done a pretty good job of making several people who were fine with them until recently totally not fine with them anymore. Isn't that pattern something worth noticing?

A valid point. I don't know any of the human beings behind the avatars, so I don't think about whether I like someone or not. I tend to work on whether I enjoy reading someone's posts and leave it at that.

This is such a clear example of the bizarre way reality is constructed here in the SDMB zone. Myrna, Sleeps, and me get a (fair) reputation for being a little bitchy -- fine. But then suddenly whenever there's any kind of conflict, it's automatically construed to be our fault. Sure, featherlou may have been a bitch for weeks and weeks but hey, "the Heathers" are the troublemakers. Sure, J Word clearly insults Myrnalene -- something no one but What Exit? and featherlou disputed -- and Myrnalene needs to shut up about it. Because, hey, she's one of "the Heathers" and of course they're the problem.

See? It's a tactical error to try to deal with your problems like a grown-up. If you whine to the modes every time someone looks at you funny like featherlou, then you can establish the reputation of victim that will get the modes to err in your favor.

I had a feeling one of the Heathers had reported me to get me tossed into 101 -- looks like I was probably right. Too bad it backfired and a couple of them got sent to the box as well. I love how they keep going to the "everyone keeps reporting us" card when they're obviously also doing it.
