Ok,

I have not made the switch to the chat code to make it vanilla, mainly because it does not appear to be affecting the people it was affecting. But the vanilla code is in place should it need to be switched.

I suggest that when we next get chat complaints we switch it back.

Also is it worth adding code to the chat to delete any posts over a certain period of time? It would keep the tables small and and at least give us enough to look over if we have trouble. Of course it does mean that anyone looking for a high chat count will be disappointed/

Can we dump the chat log to file, instead of keeping the history on line? If you could automate output to a txt file, or better yet, a thread in the IvoryTower, we'd achieve both objectives of keeping a record of chat as well as keeping the table clean.
