Default "Fuck You, Noisy Motorbike Riders!"

What is up with you selfish fuckwits? Do you really need to inform everyone within a 20 mile radius that you are out enjoying the free, open roads? Why don't you ride your big throbbing penis replacements on a racetrack, where most of them seem designed for and where you can deafen each other to your black, selfish hearts content?

Yeah, fuck YOU, noisy motorbike rider.

Last summer, the guy across the street had some sort of a scooter or moped or something that was ungodly loud, and he would ride it around the block for friggin' hours at a time. One wouldn't think this would be sufficient to amuse a grown man of presumably normal intelligence for hours at a time, but apparently one would be wrong.

And while I'm here, since we're complaining about unnecessary street noise, can I bitch that beepers suck? Attention all carpoolers: No one gives a shit that you're here EXCEPT the person you're picking up. The rest of us don't need to know. Even if you're too lazy to get your ass out of the car and knock on the door, we live in the age of the cell phone. Use it.

How far can you shoot with a bb gun? Because I swear I've considered buying one just to deal with all the assholes who sit on my street and beep repeatedly at 7:00am.

Especially on those little circus clown motorbikes. One good thing, I'm sure it can't be doing their sperm count much help.

Oh, a grown man last summer- substitute "a teenage girl several years ago" and I'd think you live across the street from my inlaws. They live on a quiet, dead-end street so the "buuuuuuuuzzzzz" up and down the street for hours was apparently mind-numbing.

When one of those blatting motorcycles that you can hear for miles and shake your windows when they drive by goes by, I fantasize about them driving into a wire strung across the road and getting flipped off their bikes. "Loud pipes save lives" my ass - my best guess is that they were ignored as children and by God, the world is never going to ignore them again.

I'll add the loud truck drivers to this rant, too. My God, get your truck fixed if it's making a noise like that!

To be fair, that 20 mile radius really only extends behind the bike, not in front of it where it might serve as a warning that might "save lives." If you can stay on the front side of one of those pieces of shit, you don't have to listen to all the noise. Therefore, I recommend to all other motorists, to do everything in their power while driving around to keep any biker they see behind them at all times, even if that means running them off the road, into a concrete median, or off a bridge.

They are the one thing that would inspire me to purchase a high power rifle, were they available over here*.

    * Well, I mean, other than on the black market. Trouble with those is you never know what they've been used for, unless you buy new.

How about the internet? Can you get one off the internet?

ETA: I think someone taking out the local Harley rider would be a case of, "The crowd of 20 saw nothing at all."

Quad-bikes on public highways should be a legitimate target, also.

My town only has one real main walkable street downtown. Bikers will rev it up like hell.. to the point where if you're INSIDE you can't have a conversation sometimes. And nobody gives them a ticket.. But my slightly noisy muffler one time.. jeez.. you'd think I'd run over a kid.

I dislike heartily the loud, obnoxious, noisy bikes and bikers I encounter daily on my commute.
I ride a 1978 BMW R100/7 daily to work and back (22 miles each way), both on county roads and freeway/beltway highways. My bike is extra quiet, just as it was designed to be by BMW, and it will stay that way.
Though the loud, noisy, obnoxious riders and bikes piss me off, I wouldn't counsel anyone to intentionally hurt them.

Sweet bike. Bet it's fun on the country roads. I've often thought about getting a bike, but I really don't want to take one on the Atlanta freeways.

Are motorcycles just not subject to the same muffler ordinances as cars?

As far as I know, everyone here is subject to the same noise ordinances, it's just a lack of enforcement.

There's a Vespa dealership in Atlanta, and I see quite a few on the road. Very cute.

Hmmm. OK, so you're going to steer, accelerate/decelerate, possibly shift gears, rack a round, shoulder aim and fire acurately all at the same time..?

Yes, and long may it continue to be so! If these inconsiderate fuckwits come off their bikes, I want their chances of riding again to be between non-existent and slim!

On the topic of helmets I saw a woman the other day riding behind her boyfriend (presumably) with her helmet off, just holding it in her hand. Maybe she wanted some fresh air? Weird.

But we have one of these loud bikers in our quiet little neighborhood, and he always seems to want to go somewhere at 9:30-10 PM at night, and then return at midnight or so.

The first time we drove to the US, we thought all the motorcyclists not wearing helmets was weird - helmets for motorcyclists are the law here, and it was stunning to us that people would drive 70 miles an hour on the highway without a helmet on.

Its the law to have helmets on in New York.. This is the first map of state by state laws Google came up with.. I don't know if it is up to date.

Really, unless it could be proven that an exhaust had been modified by an offender to increase the racket potential, it should be the manufacturers of these noisy bastard machines who are penalised.

If used properly they are not that bad. Its when careless jerks decide to rev it up to an extreme as they rip down a narrow city street where the echos boom.

On edit.. Just seconds after I posted this I could hear a bike going up to the light about a hundred feet from my door.. And when it went green it went along barely louder than many small trucks. As opposed to the other night at 10ish (not real late, I know, but I was tired and went to bed early) when I got woken up scared shitless when one decided to start an all out rev up right outside my window.

I was driving down a busy, fast local road one day, and between three of us motorists, we managed to keep a young asshole alive on his crotch-rocket. He was doing stupid stunts and didn't even realize that panic braking by all of us was all that kept him on this earth - just zoomed off at close to double the speed limit.

Just a couple of weeks ago we were treated to the sight of a young asshole on a crotch-rocket doing at least double the speed limit on our quiet, residential street - and the police car he hadn't noticed gearing up and taking off after him.

I know there are assholes on both sides of the motorcycle/car debate, but don't even try to pretend that motorcyclists are just innocent victims.
