I don't believe the partial explanation. What is the purpose of cleaning out old spam accounts by deleting them? They've already been banned so they can't cause any more problems.
CRSP made a vague explanation about multiple sock accounts influencing elections. If that's true, why eliminate accounts that have been inactive for over sixty days? They didn't vote in the most recent elections since they have been inactive for so long.
I am genuinely curious about this. What was the thinking behind this, even if Jim had done what CRSP supposedly had originally intended.
