Writing Awards and badges

I haven't been posting for a while, but I did get some good news. One of my lenses, Longitude, just got Lens of the Month for May 2009 for the British Literature Group on Squidoo :smile: . It's a bit of good news that certainly helped with my focus while slogging on with novel #2.

Does anyone else have good news of their own to share?

Last week I received 4 rejections literally back-to-back. It was the suxx0rs. I was bummed. But this week, a novella of mine has been accepted and will be published later this year. I'm particularly pleased with this one because the inestimable Julie very kindly contributed some much-needed poetry, and I couldn't be more proud to showcase her amazing work.

Just had a short story rejected, so I threw together a free photo book on lulu about the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs. It made me feel better, at any rate.

Very quick update - apparently novel#1 has been passed up the chain in the publisher and they are interested, so fingers crossed.
