Proposal: Moderating New Member Registrations
Hey gang. Are you as sick of these porn/essay-writing spammers as I am? Well, I can't get rid of the ones existing en masse,, but I can erect a minor barrier to their registration process.
That means moving forward, new members will automatically be put in a queue for approval by yours truly. (It's pretty easy to tell who's legit and who's a spammer, which means genuine new folks who want to join shouldn't have to wait too long.)
Although even then I'm adding their first five posts to a moderation queue as well.
If there's no major objection, I'll implement the changes post haste, because omg these spammers are driving me bonkers. And sorry for the inconvenience for having to read that junk, both in the forum and on your profiles' visitor messages.

Go for it, this board is mostly about the games now. Do you have any other active mods? I still have some minor mod powers in Games and in Sports.
Might be helpful to have a few more anti-spam mods.

Yes, please implement. I am quite sure none of the few regulars will object.

I almost forgot, you may need to restrict new users PM ability also, I got a PM from a spammer without posts.
