Hey to be fair, I think the Mets have a worse interview on the team. Jerry Manual is pretty bad on radio at least. The Red Sox use to have Forest Gump as manager. That was no picnic either. I say cut Minaya a little slack on this part. He just does not qual as worst.

Man, what has happened to Toronto? Dudes be in freefall.

Troncoso pulls it out by striking out the last two batters with the bases loaded. Wolf freaking dominated the Cubs. Pierre boosted his average to .425. 3 more games in Wrigley, then home. This 17-in-a-row can really strain a line-up.

Jim, your Yankees are coming to Cleveland during the first hot streak the Indians have had this year. Are you skeered? You probably shouldn't be.

A little, we can't afford to falter, Boston is not going to wait around for the Yanks in my opinion.

That was a *really* ballsy move on Torre's part to let Troncoso bat for himself in the top of the 9th and basically throw away any chance of scoring an insurance run. But if my only option then would be to have Guillermo Mota pitch the bottom of the 9th in a one-run game, I think I make the same call.

I thought I was going to have a heart attack watching that unfold, though. Hopefully, we can cruise a little easier in this afternoon's game. (Speaking of which, who the hell plays an afternoon game on a Friday? I've never heard of such a thing.)

Well, they were playing above their talent for quite a while, a crash was inevitable, but man, this is a long dry spell.

I just keep tellin' my kid "It's a long season."

I can honestly say before the season started of all possible developments I never would have thought the Yankees would be making a run at the major league record for consecutive games without an error.

(I know, I know...errorless games don't mean the defense is great. Even so.)

The Indians lost another player to the DL today. Incredible.

Setup pitcher Rafael Betancourt. Groin pull.

Made it to the Jays game with my kid today. Dang, the Jays win two straight, then we gotta go to the one where they get hammered?

Anyway, observation: sleeps with butterflies is right. The Red Sox look like they ought to be in the baseball version of The Longest Yard. What's that about?

Doh, right, I saw it happened and forgot it. He went straight to the DL? That is tough.
