False, only ever been fishing once, when I was younger.

TNP expects to go camping this summer?

Love it. The real hash, meh, whatever. That's for hippies or extras from *Lawrence of Arabia*. Well, the latter's OK, I guess, just kind of too druggy.

The food -- great. That's the original Hungry Man -- put it all together, apply flame, and eat.

Preferably while your fishing buddy is cleaning out some nice trout for lunch.

TNP likes mashed potatoes better than French Fries.

Hmm. Close call. It depends on the situation - with a more formal meal, I prefer mashed potatoes. With hot dogs or hamburgers, for instance, I prefer french fries.

TNP never called them "Freedom Fries."

I never called them Freedom Fries, but I have called them "Freedom Fries." Which is good because Belgians are, as Baudelaire teaches us, the enemies of freedom. It's like sarcasm or something.

TNP comes to think of it, the RL Belgian friends -- people you voluntarily spend time with, not just "Hey, how you doin'" -- has had are kind of an odd bunch.

Yep. It is a fucking hilarious movie. Old, though.

TNP has woken up this morning after a well-deserved "rest" last night spending it being good, just drinking my whiskey on my stoop, and hallucinated (?) some weird Norman-Mailer theory wherein I invited some strange dude into my place and spent the whole morning thinking....WTF is my door's locked, where's my wallet, where's my keys, and stuff, only to open my bedroom door and seeing there was nobody there.

Well, TNP has had *one* night like that, doesn't have to be this past night.

No. I've never hallucinated anything, as far as I know.

TNP doesn't consider a movie from 2008 to be "old."

Not really. And FWIW, that was a joke. I think the 1930s are where the best movies come from, as a group, so I was being sarcastic, and also hating on people who call some 1970s or 1980s movies "classics," because I think that's ridiculous. Just as ridiculous as people saying "classics" in literature, for example, can possible be from the past few millenia. Or however it's spelled.

TNP has had a fucking weird day today, because of like, just weird shit and stuff. Or whatever. And also explain why or why not.

No, it's been a pretty typical day. Got up, showered, dressed, went to work, and am now noodling around on the Internet in a free moment.

No, I only drink Crystal Lite. Made by the important US concern Kraft Foods. "Sweet tea" is an abomination. "Y'all like some swee' tea, hon'?" No, blow me, female Bubba at the juke joint (which is pronounced jeep or jeek joint by those in the know).

TNP is impossibly stressed out and might either vomit from anxiety at any moment, or expel unspeakable horrors from the lower deck, or develop an ulcer.

    Yeah I don't know whatever I guess.

TNP did some pro bono helping-out work today that involved scaling and descending a ladder like 50 ft like a bunch of times and recalls it having been pretty good workout for arms and legs in addition to having been glad was not over the weight limit for the ladder. In the past year. For me, it was today helping my mother hang some shutters on her house that she painted and it was quite a workout, actually, so glad I'm done. I did get a lunch out of it, and to see my youngest nephew who, I assume, was appropriately impressed by "ooohh, ladder, tall." eh whatever. Glad I stuck to coffee this AM, though.

Yes, many times. Cool place. My personal favorites among the many exhibits: Jim Morrison's Cub Scout uniform; the original handwritten lyrics to several Beatles songs.

TNP has a single favorite Beatles song.

Actually, kind of hate it. I don't know, just not my thing, I guess. Actually, really, really hate it -- everything about it, the technical to the act of taking a simple snapshot.

TNP has, however, seen some interesting photographic stills in the past, for example, large-format wilderness backcountry pictures. Those guys were pretty costaud.

You know, I don't. When I was a bit younger I used to hang some stuff on my walls, but maybe when I hit 22 y.o. I thought, I guess -- well, it just wasn't something I cared about.

I did, up until moving out here, used to enjoy a poster of Great Day in Harlem -- that fancy famous picture.

I guess I have some NatGeo maps up in my office, but since moving about five years ago I only bothered putting up a nice NatGeo world map up, not some of the regional ones. seems like too much hassle, </Barry Levinson in *High Anxiety*>, I guess.

Anyway, I've always liked plain white walls and a big window. Down where life is beautiful all the time...to the funny farm! Eh, shaddup.

TNP has only had one good chance to mutter something today. For example, taking out some trash and finding some...people...had filled up the dumpster with a bunch of bullcrap, "Eh, what, these people, Arbeit macht frei, bitches," but took the high road and didn't even say anything bad.

False, I've had multiple opportunities to mutter about the unfairness of life, the universe, and everything today. It's been one of those days.

TNP wishes they had a copy of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the actual guide, not the book by Douglas Adams.

Yeah, that was a cute show. It had that guy from *House* in it, I think, also. Never got into the novelizations, though.

TNP is looking forward to playing some fun kids games with toddler-type creatures over the weekend. In my case Alligator Eggs -- I'll make them color in the alligators before playing, but I will cut out the alligators and eggs first, because, adult and stuff.

Well go get some toddlers, then. They're like funny sort-of smart sort-of-stupid little alien hatchlings. No, just a weekend at the coast, probably mostly spent indoors babysitting my twenty-years-my-senior Uncle, and maybe wrest the kids away when they get bored with the other set of their grandparents to play my lambda calculus game with alligators. Which, BTW, I still don't know any good problems to set up for the actual game part of that. I'ma be too busy cutting out these stupid pictures and convincing (brainstorm! my uncle + some sharpies in the car with pops, let him color the pieces and cut them out. My pops who is, bless him, down at a Blues Festival (caps!) today, texted me back that uncle can only have blunt-end scissors. Well, whatever, I'm not going to tell).

TNP has been to a nice outdoor kind of thing this calendar year, like a festival or whatever.

Not a lot, but I like very few things in life. Drinking beer is one of them. Good beer is nice, but I prefer ghetto beer 10-12% alcohol. The other stuff just doesn't get 'er done. But I can enjoy shooting the shit for hours with a nice microbrewery IPA hopped all up, served in a pint glass from the tap, as long as they keep them coming and don't let them get wet. And also don't 86 me, that part is important. Or wine in a box, that's good stuff too. Neither beverages -- ghetto beer or ghetto wine -- have bouquets. They have odors.

TNP will only drink foodie beer because TNP is a foodie.

You know what? Fuck that guy, if he doesn't want my insurance. Stupid f****t. After all the money I gave him out of pocket. Fucking retard asshole and his whore hygienists. He probably rapes them, too. Fucker.

TNP started out strong today with the feeling of in the heart and then, after spending all day on hold with automated phone lines, just keeps getting pretty worse.
