Absolutely, so long as he wasn't a maybe-murderer like the brooding Mr. Bates.

Yeah, I know how to cook pretty good, but I don't care anymore. Will eat anything.

Nah. They're entitled to their opinions, snooty and/or precious as they may be.

TNP pays attention to a particular movie critic's review before seeing most films.

Yeah, since I was a kid, but I stopped writing them down when they started sticking in my head like Schaum Outline Solved Problems like on today's electromagnetics physic 4engineers UG midterm which just came to me like a rainman totally crushed that bitch. [yeah that was ... Bob Forster from the movie *Jackie Brown* -- but it could have been anybody.]

TNP derides privately those who, like the old lady in *The Spoils of Poynton* put a premium on sentimentality.

Not really. But I've had fun shooting guns on ranges or in the woods now and then.

I don't love chores, but I don't particularly mind them, so no.

TNP has at least three household chores, not for his or her direct and personal benefit, to be done every day.

Sure. I mean, I think it's dead by now, but I'd be down with desecrating it's feeble little "corpse." Feed it to my goldfish or whatever. Don't give a shit, never have.

TNP thinks Pennsylvania is equal parts fun place with good places for sportsman-like activity, and a feeble little cesspit full of overgrown hippies.

Yeah, but they all kind of are disposable stamped stuff except for a promo "utility" knife from a Lobel's giveaway.

TNP kind of has a problem with investing emotions and stuff in tools, even good tools, convinced they're going to break or rust away eventually.

Yeah, but vaguely as in "that guy who tried to punk me" and whatever.

TNP is actually proud to only be friends with regular people who aren't criminals. Good friends are people who share your values, and even if you don't see them as often IRL as you should, because big country, US is, you'd still rather have them in your corner than change one damned thing. Because it's right, and it's OK.

Yeah but not recently. Missed one of my best buds weddings in San Diego because of school crap. Same neighborhood.

TNP had a long phone call to an old friend (maybe frenemy, but my old school chess and classical music nerdo) recently, really helped get my head straight. TNP is enjoyed that sometimes good old friends really step up, the way they're supposed to. Haven't seen that guy in probably ten years, and last time we talked I think I ended up angrily yelling at him about a political trip he was on. Time heals.

Is it called waking up without a proper nights sleep?

TNP is proud to have even got out the door this morning, albeit late, looking like some central casting version of suave man-with-a-scarf with hollow, dead eyes and a bad case of the shakes. Not quite the hobo look exactly, because, hey, scarf.

Yeah, probably. Most recently wore a cravat, AFAIK.

TNP has filthy thoughts about apt young women pretty much every day and doesn't much mind being imprisoned for non-felonious ideas about Emma Watson and also who cares. And is also somewhat ashamed. But who cares I can't be convicted and also I don't care and leave me alone.
