False. I'm no botanist, but I like the look and smell of beautiful flowers.

    TNP knows an actual botanist.

Actually, yes. Well, a former bandmate went back to school a few years ago for that purpose. He's got a knack for mycology, and this being green country, like everyone else, knows about growing flowering plants in an atypical environment. ETA, yes, he should be done with his BS in Biology/Botany and, as far as I know, is out in the woods working for the government as a field researcher.

TNP has strong preferences among various branches of the hard sciences (we'll include the liberal arts like math and logic, in keeping with current dogma), like, you know, biology, chemistry, physics, etc.

Yes, I've always been interested in astronomy, although my math skills are laughable.

TNP has a favorite astronomical body other than the Earth, Sun and Moon.

Can't say as I do, though I liked the move "The Martian", and dreamed I was on Mars a few nights ago.

TNP is thinking of a career change, but can't really come up with anything to change to.

No, I'm pretty happy doing what I'm doing.

Yeah, sure. That was last year, so that's true.

TNP has been annoyed very recently by an old friend, pestering him or her about some idealogues irrelevant to the mainstream of Western thought and culture.

No, but I really want to! That, Concussion and Spotlight are the movies on my hope-soon-to-see list.

TNP would discourage any young person he or she knows from playing American-style football.

True. Not too sour, though. And pickles are the only thing that make McDonald's burgers bearable.

No. I'm having trouble with an old friend from Georgia who reminded me that bloviating French literary critics still exist among the true believers. And that state, Georgia, is where peaches come from.

TNP thinks the term "peach" means too many things and should be stricken.

No, I have no objection to the many uses of the term peach (although I don't care for the taste or texture of the fruit itself).

(More details about your possible Russian move would be welcome, but OK, thanks!)

I like some pretzels - hot, chewy-soft, salty ones fresh from the oven, or the Berlin pretzel chips of various flavors. Just those two kinds.

TNP likes just about any kind of pretzel.

I guess -- haven't had one I really hated. Strong preference for the chewy kind, nice and hot, with very coarse salt on it. Wait just a damn minute, Steely Dan's *Pretzel Logic* -- not their finest effort, IMHO. Just kidding, I don't have any Steely Dan albums....

TNP uses the word "discharge" quite a bit in day-to-day life.

No fucking way. But you know who should talk to a lawyer? The person moving to COMMUNIST RUSSIA.

TNP has a favorite actress who played...what's her name *Anna Karenina* in a movie. literally just now found out Keira Knightley did her a few years ago, so EH must, should he answer this one, pick someone else. why? I don't know, but that seems sporting.

I see there have been 17 film adaptations of Anna Karenina: ). Greta Garbo, Vivien Leigh and Jacqueline Bisset all played the role and were smokin' back in the day, but I haven't seen them in it... so, to be "sporting," I guess I have to answer "false."

TNP has seen more than one film version of Anna Karenina.

Oh, definitely. I'd want to see the Kremlin, Bolshoi Theatre and Metro in Moscow, the Hermitage and Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, the giant victory statue at Stalingrad (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Motherland_Calls) and a WWII mass grave or two.

TNP has no interest in historic graves, mass or otherwise.

False. Some of my best walks have been through cemeteries, other ghoulish places, just digging around for cool stuff, sort of. Enjoying the limestone dripping horrible things into the mouth and eyes, and stuff.

    TNP is superstitious.

Yeah, I do. It's like rich people whiskey. Although the names for some of the mixed drinks are pretty queer -- "Brandy Alexander"? Oh, yes, m'lord, straight from the kitchens of Count Alexandreyovitch.

TNP despises using other peoples' computers.

I don't know about "soon." We'll stick with "false" for that one. I don't want to get my head cut off and put on a pike, and I can see naked ladies consort with burros and I can drink tequila pretty much anywhere.

TNP wouldn't mind going to Russia sometime soon. Vodka, chess, math, ladies with raven-black hair and big boobies -- sounds pretty good.

Sounds like fun. I'm getting a bit past the age when some freighter headed to Shanghai would think, "Yeah, grab that white boy and make him swab the decks." I suspect they might think, "Dude, get a fresher one -- do you want to throw two hundred pounds of chewed bubblegum overboard after five miles?"

TNP thinks traveling is not all that fun.

Generally true. I often like the place - wherever it is - once I'm there, but the process of getting there can be a pain in the ass.

No way. Movie theaters are prime vectors of contagion -- I was young once, and I know for a fact what kind of nasty shit goes down in a theater. And then you get past the concession stand.

TNP hasn't bought anything at a movie food/concession/whatever besides a ticket in a long time.
