Pretty much true. I'll try just about anything, and if it's edible, I'm good.

TNP has a snobby friend or relative.

Yeah, maybe if you count me -- most people would call me a snob, but I prefer the term "snub." I just don't care for most things, is all. A "snob" in the classic WC Fields sense. My mother is a caricature of Hyacinth Bucket, but she's pretty much batshit crazy.

TNP walked more than a few miles today.

Last night, yes, after dinner. A little drizzling rain but it wasn't too bad. Today, no, I haven't.

TNP has more than six pens within easy arm's reach right now.

No. i like them after they've been broken in for a while and am used to them. New sneakers do feel amazing, though. So, partly true.

TNP might break out the tennis racket this summer, try to get that serve back.

Tennis is about the only non-extreme sport I'm no good at. I can volley ok, either hand, but can't serve to save myself.

I'm not sure. Probably, but not really on purpose.

TNP is looking forward to the (US) summer months to wear some more "outdoor" gear for comfort (you know, sneakers, shorts, T-shirts, all that).

spizter, you got to explain! what, so you go BMX-biking and cage fighting? wtf is a 'non-extreme' sport? am i to believe you spend your life and days cage-fighting with MMA people? that's ludicrous.

I was implying that I'm not into extreme sports, so saying ''tennis is the only sport I'm not good at'' is not true because I'm not into bungee jumping or whatever nonsense. Capice, motherfucker?

I do that anyway, so no.

Never been on a hovercraft of any kind. I did have a pretty sweet GI Joe model hovercraft as a kid, though. I have no idea how much dick my mother had to suck on to buy it for me, but I'm sure it was quite a bit. Thanks, mom!

Yes -- no snakes in Eire, nor too many bad ones out here.

TNP might have noticed that, IRL, while Latinos tend to have a good sense of humor, burly white males tend to want to fight you. Not happy about that. WTF? Just chill out you dumb Okie.

Sure! One of the first "sheet music" (remember those? they were pretty expensive for only a few sheets of paper and had rudimentary keyboard reductions) I bought was "Old Time Rock and Roll." No idea why I saved up for that, or what it was for. Probably still at my parents' house, somewhere.

TNP is extremely sweaty today, because of the sun.

No, not too bad at the moment. Windows open and some nice nighttime breezes.

TNP has heard this entire tone poem, not just the first few seconds made famous by 2001: A Space Odyssey:

Yeah. I never heard it called a tone-poem, but that makes sense. Call me a Nazi, but I like that Richard Strauss stuff. call me an idiot too -- I mis-typed "Wagner" for "Strauss." must have been subliminal.

TNP is kind of glad when dusk appears in the summer months -- stuff quiets down, cools down, all that.

Basketball, yes, the Cleveland Cavaliers' big and very exciting win over the Bulls on Easter Sunday. Baseball, not yet, but I will in a few weeks.

Any day of any year of any of my life. I did see a b-ball game from a box "suite" or whatever they're called once -- it was kind of like seeing an opera. But, no it moves too fast, I don't know much of the history except for the legends of old-schoolers like Olajuwan (sp?), Bill Russell, Wilt, so it's kind of lost on me. Besides, I don't like things that move too fast. Baseball is leisurely (except for when it isn't!).

TNP prefers baseball to American-rules football.

Heh, no. Anyway, I wasn't a ball-fan at the stage in my life when I went through there regularly. And, anyway, it was kind of out of the way.

TNP got involved in a three-way (including self) somewhat-amusing conversation with two older kindly ladies of means, only one of whom was demented. Within the past year, let's say. In my case it was just now, but it's your case now.

God no. I know it's some people's profession, but I hope to continue my record of never having to appear in court, in whatever capacity. ETA see Kleist's play *The Broken Jug*, or even *The Trial* for that matter -- a regular person has no business in court, unless they have a grievance and seek redress

TNP is kind of annoyed by people mentioning other genInt boards here, because he or she likes it here just fine.

Nah, I don't mind. It's a big Internet and we're all grownups. Well, most of us, anyway....

(And I disagree that "a regular person has no business in court." The courts are open to all. There's a lot you can learn by observing the justice system at work, even if you don't have a pending case of your own.)

TNP regularly checks at least three other websites every damn day.

True. But I've gotten better. I used to have about 20 places I ducked in and out of, now stripped it back to about 5-10 and sent my Facebook to the scrapyard.

I don't know what "recovering from drinking" means -- like, working off a hangover, even if it takes a few days? Yeah, sure, I guess. Going back down to campus and for sure am going to grab a mere pint of whiskey to get through the tedium. I wouldn't consider that "drinking," though -- just having a drink to relieve some tedium.

TNP despises the pop-psychology slang terms "alcoholic" and "recovering alcoholic" and all of that Oprah Winfrey shit.
