Pretty much true. I'll try just about anything, and if it's edible, I'm good.
TNP has a snobby friend or relative.

TNP has a snobby friend or relative.
Yeah, maybe if you count me -- most people would call me a snob, but I prefer the term "snub." I just don't care for most things, is all. A "snob" in the classic WC Fields sense. My mother is a caricature of Hyacinth Bucket, but she's pretty much batshit crazy.
TNP walked more than a few miles today.
Last night, yes, after dinner. A little drizzling rain but it wasn't too bad. Today, no, I haven't.
TNP has more than six pens within easy arm's reach right now.
Of course. Love pens.
TNP has bought new shoes in the last three months.
True! Spiffy new white sneakers.
TNP loves the feel and smell of new shoes.
No. i like them after they've been broken in for a while and am used to them. New sneakers do feel amazing, though. So, partly true.
TNP might break out the tennis racket this summer, try to get that serve back.
Tennis is about the only non-extreme sport I'm no good at. I can volley ok, either hand, but can't serve to save myself.
TNP is ready for the Maroons to destroy the Blues in a fortnight.
If that's what you want, then yes, absolutely.
TNP has at least one article of clothing in school or team colors.
I'm not sure. Probably, but not really on purpose.
TNP is looking forward to the (US) summer months to wear some more "outdoor" gear for comfort (you know, sneakers, shorts, T-shirts, all that).
spizter, you got to explain! what, so you go BMX-biking and cage fighting? wtf is a 'non-extreme' sport? am i to believe you spend your life and days cage-fighting with MMA people? that's ludicrous.

I was implying that I'm not into extreme sports, so saying ''tennis is the only sport I'm not good at'' is not true because I'm not into bungee jumping or whatever nonsense. Capice, motherfucker?

Nah, I think I have a swimsuit someplace, but I make no representation as to whether it fits.
TNP has has a tiring week.
True. (Men wearing swimsuits? Is it normal there?)
TNP is looking forward to their next meal.
Not this week, but the next is going to be a bitch.
TNP has muttered angrily "God, I hate these people" recently -- and meant it!
You're a bit slow on that there trigger, son.
You're not playing the game right! Ain't your momma teach you nothing?
ETA OK fine -- how am I supposed to keep up w all that spitzing? True, False, or whatever.
TNP has a pretty good case of swamp-ass right now.
Last edited by Jizzelbin; 05 Jun 2015 at 04:23 PM.
Not even knowing what it is, I guess I'd have to say no.
TNP has ridden an airboat through a swamp.
Never been on a hovercraft of any kind. I did have a pretty sweet GI Joe model hovercraft as a kid, though. I have no idea how much dick my mother had to suck on to buy it for me, but I'm sure it was quite a bit. Thanks, mom!
TNP is going to have one hell of a busy weekend coming up.
Yes. Traveling to suburban Philadelphia with friends.
TNP has been to Philadelphia in the past year.
False.
TNP has seen a kookaburra in the last week.
Not at all. I have seen a pretty cool Stellar Jay, and compared notes with my sister's mother-in-law via FB, though.
TNP has a love-hate relationship with birds.
I like them in general, hate magpies. Bastards they are.
TNP has crocodiles living nearby.
Holy shit, no. That would mess up my day pretty good.
TNP is glad he or she doesn't live in oz with all those crazy animals.
Yes -- no snakes in Eire, nor too many bad ones out here.
TNP might have noticed that, IRL, while Latinos tend to have a good sense of humor, burly white males tend to want to fight you. Not happy about that. WTF? Just chill out you dumb Okie.
No to that entire line, pretty much.
TNP is in air conditioning right now.
Yeah, though don't need it so much at the moment.
TNP woke last night to the sound of thunder.
No. Slept through the night.
TNP is a Bob Seger fan.
Sure! One of the first "sheet music" (remember those? they were pretty expensive for only a few sheets of paper and had rudimentary keyboard reductions) I bought was "Old Time Rock and Roll." No idea why I saved up for that, or what it was for. Probably still at my parents' house, somewhere.
TNP is extremely sweaty today, because of the sun.

No, not too bad at the moment. Windows open and some nice nighttime breezes.
TNP has heard this entire tone poem, not just the first few seconds made famous by 2001: A Space Odyssey:

Yeah. I never heard it called a tone-poem, but that makes sense. Call me a Nazi, but I like that Richard Strauss stuff. call me an idiot too -- I mis-typed "Wagner" for "Strauss." must have been subliminal.
TNP is kind of glad when dusk appears in the summer months -- stuff quiets down, cools down, all that.
Last edited by Jizzelbin; 08 Jun 2015 at 09:13 PM.
Nah, summer dusk is fine, but summer days are great, too.
TNP is looking forward to getting some vacation. (Real vacation, not sitting around looking at your lap sick leave.)
Definitely. I'll have almost a week on the beach in Nags Head, N.C. not too long from now.
TNP has been on the Outer Banks before.
No, but I always thought that would be a great place to go.
TNP is ambivalent about hosting out-of-town guests.
Definitely. Too much cleaning to do beforehand, and then you can't do what you wanna do.
TNP agrees with Benjamin Franklin that "fish and guests stink after three days."
Nah, it all depends.
TNP maintains that the walk-off home run is the most exciting thing in sports.
Yeah, that is pretty good. A bench-clearing brawl slightly edges out a no-hitter, though.
TNP has been to a ball game this season.
Basketball, yes, the Cleveland Cavaliers' big and very exciting win over the Bulls on Easter Sunday. Baseball, not yet, but I will in a few weeks.
TNP prefers baseball to basketball.
Any day of any year of any of my life. I did see a b-ball game from a box "suite" or whatever they're called once -- it was kind of like seeing an opera. But, no it moves too fast, I don't know much of the history except for the legends of old-schoolers like Olajuwan (sp?), Bill Russell, Wilt, so it's kind of lost on me. Besides, I don't like things that move too fast. Baseball is leisurely (except for when it isn't!).
TNP prefers baseball to American-rules football.
Any day.
TNP has been to the Baseball Hall of Fame more than once.
Heh, no. Anyway, I wasn't a ball-fan at the stage in my life when I went through there regularly. And, anyway, it was kind of out of the way.
TNP got involved in a three-way (including self) somewhat-amusing conversation with two older kindly ladies of means, only one of whom was demented. Within the past year, let's say. In my case it was just now, but it's your case now.
No, never, I don't think. But I've spoken to some mixed-up people one-on-one.
TNP has a relative or friend who is mentally ill.
Well, lots of people with issues, lots of people on Prozac or Paxil or whatever, but nobody I can think of who needs institutionalization or Thorazine or such.
TNP knows the Johnny Cash song "Committed to Parkview".

No, never heard of it.
TNP likes Irish cream.
Yeah, although I don't have it often.
TNP expects a hot day where he or she lives today.
True. It rained this morning so it will be hot and humid.
TNP is looking forward to Friday!
Yes, indeed. A morning docket, then lunch at a favorite Middle Eastern restaurant with some friends, a (probably) quiet afternoon, and time with family in the evening.
TNP has been to court in the past month.
God no. I know it's some people's profession, but I hope to continue my record of never having to appear in court, in whatever capacity. ETA see Kleist's play *The Broken Jug*, or even *The Trial* for that matter -- a regular person has no business in court, unless they have a grievance and seek redress
TNP is kind of annoyed by people mentioning other genInt boards here, because he or she likes it here just fine.
Last edited by Jizzelbin; 12 Jun 2015 at 01:03 AM.
Nah, I don't mind. It's a big Internet and we're all grownups. Well, most of us, anyway....
(And I disagree that "a regular person has no business in court." The courts are open to all. There's a lot you can learn by observing the justice system at work, even if you don't have a pending case of your own.)
TNP regularly checks at least three other websites every damn day.
True. But I've gotten better. I used to have about 20 places I ducked in and out of, now stripped it back to about 5-10 and sent my Facebook to the scrapyard.
TNP is drinking or recovering from drinking.
I don't know what "recovering from drinking" means -- like, working off a hangover, even if it takes a few days? Yeah, sure, I guess. Going back down to campus and for sure am going to grab a mere pint of whiskey to get through the tedium. I wouldn't consider that "drinking," though -- just having a drink to relieve some tedium.
TNP despises the pop-psychology slang terms "alcoholic" and "recovering alcoholic" and all of that Oprah Winfrey shit.
