Aw, geez. I'd had no idea such a young man was under all that makeup. I'm so sad to hear this.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.
Cheez, he was so young. When I saw the title, I assumed drugs or murder. But heart failure? At 33?
Nothing is impossible! Not if you can imagine it. That's what being a scientist is all about!
Man, that sucks.
Whatever became of the moment when one first knew about death? There must have been one. A moment. In childhood. When it first occurred to you that you don't go on forever. Must have been shattering. Stamped into one's memory. And yet, I can't remember it.
I know! My age. I was pretty surprised by that too. And he's a sort of local. I guess he had ongoing heart problems. Always one of my favorite characters.

The way he played his character really made me believe he was a nice guy IRL. R.I.P.
He was, without a doubt, one of the sweetest men I have ever met. I mean, all the Whedon actors are great at cons, but Andy Hallett was the best. He had a ton of wonderful stories--like every Sunday he has a breakfast at his house for all the drag queens on Sunset. And he did a wonderful impression of Paul Lynde (with the punchline "keep your kid under control or I'll fuck her"). And there was a fuck-up with the scheduling at the con, and instead of saying "Screw y'all, I'm going home," he stayed, missed his flight, and made sure everybody got their autographs/photos, and basically spent that evening partying with people. His smile was so great that it made you feel like you were his new best friend. He got drunk at the pool and mooned everybody before falling in.
We watched the Pylea episodes of Angel today, and we'll continue our marathon tomorrow. I love that Joss met him at a karaoke bar on Sunset and decided wrote the part of Lorne specifically for him.
I'm still swimming in harmony. I'm still dreaming of flight. I'm still lost in the waves night after night...

Lorne: Oh really? Yeah well I'm not some mystical vending machine here to spit out answers every time you walk in with a problem. I have a heart. Granted it's located in my left butt cheek, but it's still a heart, and that heart is broken.
We'll miss you, Andy.

In other Whedonverse news, Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof had a baby girl on March 24th.

Sad news about Andy Hallett. Glad news for Alyson and Alexis (who I think would've made a very interesting James Bond). A mixed news week in the Whedonverse.
Hell is other people.
Sad. I didn't like Lorne when he first appeared on Angel, but he grew on me.
