    Default Skunk Pictures....

About 9:40PM, it was time to try once a gain to get Demon & Devil to come in side. Demon will usually come in when the White skunk shows up... Well, right on time, I looked out and there he was. The white skunk. This time I took a camera. The Fuji ...

We have a skunk that has taken up residence under our hollow concrete front steps. The crack he/she squeezes through to get to the burrow is unbelievably narrow. I really want to evict the critter and seal up the hole before summer when there might be babies in there.

Our skunks usually have way less white and more black on them...I am outside of Boston.

Couldn't you build it an attractive alternative residence somewhere nearby, that is less inconvenient to you?

We have at least 7 different skunks coming to the fox buffet. 5 of them are marked very different from each other.

2 big stripes down the back
    White tail only
    1 stripe
Black with a "V" behind the head
    The one in the picture
One with a slat & pepper tail and some wide white marks on the back

Really, no two seem to be of the same marking pattern...

Now, if they just smelled better......

There's no guarantee at all he/she would move. I have no idea what makes for an attractive residence to a skunk and this one seems quite attached to its current abode...I blocked up the two original entrances and it dug a third rather than move out.

Anyway this is literally our front lawn, right under the main entrance to the house. Any excavations nearby would be quite unsightly.

I just want the sucker out of where it is, I don't give a fig what happens to it after that.

I just spray some gasoline in the holes. I also use it to move a long a skunk as I can stay far enough away for it not to think I am the problem and spray me... Works really good for under places you can't crawl or really seal up and just need to move the skunk along. Does not take much and that smell evaporates and is gone quickly. Skunks really do not like it....

If you are a smoker, be careful...

Hmm...not exactly what I thought by the thread title, but what the hey.

The resort where my wife and I honeymooned has a sports center, and one of the women who runs the counter there has a pet skunk -- decented and very tame. Meet Sadie:

OK, I got to ask...what exactly were you expecting if not a thread with pictures of any of several small, mostly carnivorous New World mammals of the genus Mephitis and related genera, having a bushy tail and black fur with white markings and ejecting a foul-smelling oily liquid from glands near the anus when frightened or in danger, also called polecat?

Hmmm...perhaps I misstated this -- what I expected was for there to be more than one pic already in the thread.

We see them 98% of the time at night. Pictures are hard to get...

Well, it was a short thread. How many pictures of skunks you think people got?

Seriously, I'll try to get a picture of our guy...after I evict him.
