Default How can I get my watch strap clean?

I got this awesome watch last year for my birthday:

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001PC1RS6/...outThisProduct

But the strap immediately got a blue tint to it, I guess from rubbing against my clothes. I've tried:

    soap and water
    diluted bleach and q-tips
    Clorox bleach pen

And nothing has made a dent in the blue stains. Any ideas?

I have no help to offer, but my brother's girlfriend had the exact same problem with a similar watch.

Could the blue be the indigo dye rubbing off of your blue jeans?

Try using RIT color remover (not the stain remover). I'd use the Q-tip technique with it, too. You can get it in the houseware/hardware aisle of most chain groceries and drug stores.

The strap is said to be rubber on the Kenneth Cole site and polyurethane on Amazon....not even sure if there is a difference.

I am almost 100% sure it's the indigo from my jeans. Don't know what else it could be, and I only wear darker wash jeans.

I would hope Kenneth Cole wouldn't sell something that gets ruined so easily....you have lost my faith, sir.

Next thing I will try is the Rit stuff.
