Default Why don't plastic dishes dry?

When you do dishes either in a dishwasher or by hand, the flexible plastic containers don't ever dry very well. I know they hold some water in their crevices (which sounds totally porn-y, doesn't it?) but the surfaces themselves also seem to hang on to water more than real dishes. What's up with that?

Likely thermal mass. Crockery retains heat better and speeds evaporation.

Isn't plastic also more porous than glass or glazed ceramics? It does seem to take on odors and stains more readily.

WAG: The water droplets have a higher whetting angle, leading to a more spherical drop, with less surface area per unit volume.
