Will we be getting stimulus checks in 2009?

I've been hunting around the internet, but can't find a definitive answer. Anyone got the scoop on this?

No checks this time around.

The "stimulus" comes in the form of your federal payroll taxes being reduced on average, by about $13 per week. The maximum "stimulus" total is $400 for individuals, and the reduced witholdings should begin within this month.

For some retirees and veterans, there's also a one-time payment of $250 that will come from Social Security.
