private messages working?

Are private messages working for anyone? I tried sending one, but it never goes into my "sent messages" folder...it just sits in "outbox". Does this mean it's not sent?

They are working, but I can't say what the send/receive frequency is.

I've noticed that if you send a message, it'll "sit" in the outbox, until the recipient reads it. Once it's read, it moves to your sent folder... or at least that's what it appears is happening.

Yes, that's how it works. It means you can edit and delete the message before the recipient reads it.

Yeah, I much prefer how the phpBB software treats PMs. It's especially useful for Mafia, since you can see who's read the role and night action result PMs.

I've sent and received plenty of PMs since I joined. Occasionally I get a 'This Message Has Been Deleted By Its Author' one; that just means whoever sent it changed their mind and deleted it before you read it.
