This was a surprise. Late last night I posted a thread suggesting Ed just go all the way and ban vulgarities and obscenities altogether. I mentioned a couple of other boards I read (blue collar; landscaping related) where disagreements over work and politics abound but salty language isn't allowed at all. I acknowledged that people likely wouldn't like such a rule but at least it would end all the sniping and hair-splitting. My thinking was that it would reduce tons of problems to just one, and it seemed to be where Ed wanted to go anyway. Now it's nowhere to be found and I haven't heard word one as to why.
