I love playing the feuds, enough to commit to running one here if there's any interest. Unless of course another SDMBohemian else has had a burning desire to do so longer than I've been posting here/there.
Whaddya think?

YEAH! That would be excellent

I love the feuds. I'm ready to play here.
They weren't singing....they were just honking.

I'm in. We'd probably have to score at fewer players, like 20, at least for now.
I'm in. Hell, if we have 20 players, even if I come in last, that'll still be higher than any other score I've had...
I wonder if we can get Dolores Reborn to run games on both sites ?
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
She IS feudmaster and no one else would fling confetti the way she does. I'll even stop calling her dolo and start using rebo.Originally posted by CatInASuit

I've pm'd Rebo with a link to this thread to get her opinion about this.Originally posted by jali

Maybe. How many players do we have here? Y'all know that it's not that much fun with only a few players. I don't think I'd want to a daily Feud here, too. They take up a fair amount of my time already!
Somebody do a head count, and I'll think about it.

I think this thread is the head count, Rebo.
I was hoping for more responses by now, but let's see how it looks by Monday night just in case there's Domers who only post at work.

I'd give it time. We now have over 200 members; if only a tenth of those play we'll have enough for fun Feuds.

I'm interested, especially if Rebo reruns them and we get to score really well the second time around. 8-)

I'm in! I lurve the Feuds
And I can't have anyone else regularly placing as badly as I do... that would just be bad sport
I was about to decline out of loyalty to Dolores efforts at 'that other place', but upon considering your post, I'm in.Originally posted by fisheroo

I'm in. I have a reputation to maintain.
Such as it is.

How the hell do you play fueds? If it isn't too time consuming, I'll give it a go.
It's not time consuming for the player at all. Just for the scorer. It's like the fast round of the game show Family Feud.
These are the (snipped) rules as posted on The Dope:
DO NOT READ THIS THREAD BEFORE YOU POST YOUR ANSWERS
Object of the game: Try to think of the most popular answer, to get the most people matching you. Google is allowed, if you desire. Only answers that are "serious" will be scored. Joke answers will not be considered, as it is not fair to other players.
Formatting rules:
If they are not followed, your answers will be DISQUALIFIED.
1. answer
2. answer
3. answer
4. answer
Make your list look like the one above. No double spacing. No periods (except for the one following the number.) No quote marks, no punctuation if it is not necessary! No smilies! No extraneous bullshit is allowed. If you feel you must qualify your answer, do it AFTER THE LIST!
Scoring - Any answer duplicated by anyone else is worth 100 points divided by the number of entrants. For example: 50 entrant game = 2 pts per answer. If 4 people match that means they each get 8 pts for that answer. No matches = 0 points.
Sample game:
1. Other than Watson, name someone Sherlock Holmes worked with.
2. Other than 221B Baker Street, name a location that appeared in Sherlock Holmes stories.
3. Name an actor who played Sherlock Holmes.
4. Name a fictional character who has ever emulated Sherlock Holmes while solving a mystery (donned Holmesian gear, used Holmes' phrases, etc.)
5. Name an item associated with Sherlock Holmes.
6. Name one of Holmes's odd habits.
7. Name a Sherlock Holmes story.
8. Name another fictional character from any era who employs methods similar to Holmes's.
9. Other than Arthur Conan Doyle, name an author who wrote at least one Sherlock Holmes story.
10. Name a movie featuring Sherlock Holmes.
Sample answers:
1. Lestrade
2. Watson's house
3. Basil Rathbone
4. Monk
5. Deerstalker hat
6. Smoking opium
7. Tale of the Speckled Band
8. Monk
9. Adrian Conan Doyle
10. The Hound of the Baskervilles

I only counted 11 people in this thread, including me. It's not worth it yet. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

I like the Feuds. I may not play every one that happens, but I do play them frm time to time. I'd be interested.
I'd be glad to move over here for Feuding.

I love the feuds and would definitely play on both boards.

I'd do it if I see any I could answer. And maybe it should be a weekly Feud for starters.
WTF did I just say?
If Biggirl plays, I'll play. I suck at this game.
I'll play, absolutely. I may occasionally bow out, but I'll try to play as many as possible. The Feuds are one of my favourite parts of the SDMB.
I will play, but weekly sounds good for now.
I'm in!
Count me in as well.
No cage, thank you. I'm a human being.
