Well, kid, there's more things in this life than you can possibly imagine. I knew a whore once in Wilmington. She had a glass eye. Used to take it out and wink people off for a dollar
You're definitely right. That movie was full of great lines.

But "You take the van, I'll keep the dog" is from the cinematic classic "Slap Shot" and is uttered by that guy who isn't Paul Newman.
So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, "I'm madas hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
Easy one, but a good 'un.
But of course that line was from Slap Shot, th ebest damn sports movie ever!

This makes me wonder how many lines there are in cinema (other than the above) that have the word 'motherfucker' in them twice(!) and were not uttered by Samuel L Jackson.Originally posted by sistercoyote

I can't name the movie, but this scene was an internet meme amongst libertarian Ron Paul types. I've seen it many times.Originally posted by Boozahol Squid, P.I.
Edit: previous poster got it: Network
Yeah, it was Network. I miss seventies movies... and I wasn't even alive, then!
Just to be clear, my quote again:

damnit , I am sure I saw that on an airplane the other day. Is it a recent movie?
No, it is not a recent movie.Originally posted by PrecambrianMollusc

Can we have a clue yet?

Sorry! Two for the price of one:
The quote in question is spoken by Corey Feldman, and the film is a comedy.
Aunt Em - Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog - Dorothy.
Not enough of a clue?
The movie was released in the 1980s, and Henry Gibson played the villain.
Aunt Em - Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog - Dorothy.
Ahh... an 80's movie starring Corye Feldman? That narrows it down...
On wiki'ing who the hell Henry Gibson is, I think I remember the movie. As using wiki is probably cheating, I'll spoilerize it.
[spoiler:v68lau5b]The Burbs?[/spoiler:v68lau5b]
Gibson, by the way, is a fantastic actor. The fact that his stage name may be an homage to Henrik Ibsen just makes him all the better.
As the thread owner, if you are right, I am going to turn a blind eye to this wiki-lapse, so I hope you have a quote ready Boozy?

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room!
Yes, that is the correct movie. And somehow, I'm delighted that I managed to stump folks with it.

Nah.
This quote was one of the BETTER ones from the film, there weren't many good ones.

Also since I feel kind.... pay attention TO the Quote. It's not a typo or anything weird. But the Quote explains the film in a major way. I was debating italicizing one word of it, but figured that'd make it TOO obvious....

The first one I thought was quite good. The second was was just so over the top rediculous. The 3rd one was a return to the roots of the first one, and sorta explained a lot of the first one. But if you didn't like the first, you won't like the 3rd. The 2nd one is Just Bad though. It's worth renting if you ever have a "Bad Movie Night" as it's VERY easy to MSK3000 (ie: mock) this film for quotes like the above. I'd view it more of a bad comedy than what it really is.*Originally posted by jali

That description sounds a bit like the highlander movies - the first was pretty good, the second , well enough said. I didn't see the third but I believe it went back to the first.Originally posted by RoOsh
I just can't see where the quote would fit though along with being in the same genre of sorts as the Thing

no clue
:sigh: only cuz I'm already winning with my previous entry:
Here it is redone:

Oh so the guy who is talking saw himself being killed by something? Some sort of alternate reality thing?

It is rare that I encounter a movie that I have never heard of. Congratulations.
Aunt Em - Hate you, hate Kansas, took the dog - Dorothy.
I have been told by my younger bro' that it is "Cube 2".
I'd seen "Cube", which I enjoyed, but not that one.
And I see he was right. At least he's made up for steering me wrong in the "Screenshot" thread.

Cube 2: Hypercube is the answer.
Cube was great.
Cube 0 wasn't bad. (yes, the 3rd move was called Cube 0- it's a prequel)
Cube 2 was the most ridonkulous shit I've ever seen. Hilarious but painful.
"Dude, your statistical average, which was already in the toilet, just took a plunge into the Earth's mantle." ~ iampunha
Well, RoOsh, you win. I never heard of the original (or the prequel,) either
And from reading the imdb description... that sounds like the sort of plotline you think up really late at night. Kudos to the writers for selling the screenplay.
Wanna try again, with a line that we may have heard of?
ETA: Looks like it was actually Cube [sup:19xqthkt]2[/sup:19xqthkt]... Cube Squared... you know, because math, and stuff.
Aw, crap! I almost guessed that that was it. I saw it earlier today but didn't reply. Actually, it was the 'Hypercube' bit that threw me off since I forgot about that. That, and I don't remember the second one much since I stopped paying attention about an hour into it, because it did, in fact, suck.
Cube (the original) is an amazingly good mindfuck movie.
So is it RoOsh up with a new quote or Ivan?
