    Default Converting catchers

When teams move catchers to new defensive positions, which foul line do they move hi up, and how far? IOW- 3B or 1B, or corner OF.

Just about always first base, in my experience, the theory being that it's the position whose skill set most closely resembles catcher: get the glove up and catch the damn ball in the big glove.

Actually catchers are often moved to Left Field also. 3b is rare though Joe Torre made the switch back around 1969 from Catcher to 3B.
