Default What's your Independence day traditions?

Seeing as I'm sure all those stateside are recovering from yesterday, it occurred to me, that several holidays come with specific set of traditions, whether they be food or activity related, and I was wondering what traditions, apart from fireworks, Independence Day had.

So, is there anything traditional, or do you have your own traditions that you follow?

I usually display an historic American flag outside our house (right now it's the Grand Union flag: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_union_flag), listen to some Sousa march music, drink a toast to my country, and wish "Happy Fourth!" to everyone I see. We often have a cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers, but not last night. Fireworks are a bonus, and last night I did see some after an outdoor concert of patriotic music. It was a very good day.
