Default Knox and Sollecito face retrial

The ongoing trial for the murder of Meredith Kercher is about to start again with an appeal against the quashing of the guilty verdict for Amanda Knox and Rafael Sollecito.

Chances are that any trail will be done in absentia, as I cannot see the USA extraditing Knox at all, even if she is found guilty again.

Makes me wonder where this one will stop.

Is it ever. And they're still investigating the cruise ship captain who ran aground....

Italian Justice runs on until all avenues of appeal are exhausted, its got one more stage to go.

Somehow, I think the release of Knox's autobiography is really going to help. If she is found guilty, wouldn't that mean she had profited from her crime?

It's terrible to think this has been going on for nearly a year looking at the timestamps and both Knox and Sollecito have been found guilty again.

This one has another round of appeals in it at least.

It's interesting looking at all the reports that its double jeopardy, but that's not how the Italian justice system works. She hasn't been tried twice, just that the verdict from the last trial was set aside and the original verdict re-instated.

Either way, I feel sorry for the Kircher's more than anyone. They will probably never find out what truly happened that night.

That's the sad thing. Absolutely nothing that comes out of these bizarre proceedings is going to resolve anything.

Looks like her alleged accomplice may have been making a run for the border.
