In case there's anyone here who doesn't frequent the Dope or Giraffe, a thread was posted last night that says that Opal has died. Apparently her mother posted it on FB. Poor Opal...what a hard life she had.

That is sad news, Sarah. She may have picked up a lot of flak, but she was a mainstay of the SDMB and responsible for at least one memorable meme from it.
