    Default Serving spaghetti bolognese

    Random food question.

    Do you serve the bolognese on top of the spaghetti, or do you make a hole in the middle of the spaghetti for it?

    Well, yeah, that's what I'd more often do, but might put it on top. I wonder if the hole in the middle is a British/Irish thing.

    Related question: Who calls this dish "Spagbol"? Started hearing this on "Coronation Street" and took me a while to figure out what was meant.

    Yeah but when you're serving it it looks nicer separated out than all mixed together. The person eating the meal of course will usually then go and mix up everything on the plate.

    We always had everything all mixed up in the pot. Presentation was never much of a concern.

    Hmmm...I usually serve the pasta, then plop the sauce on top. Never thought of making a hole for it first!
