Eeeeeeee she's so tiny and precious.
Thanks! I've been staying down here in Missouri with my sister's youngest children while she's been up there on baby watch. It's been an exhausting and hard month for all of us, but definitely worth it.
My youngest niece (8 years old) got eyes as big as saucers and her mouth went all :O when she heard the baby crying on the phone this morning. As soon as I'd hung up, her first words were, "Now my mom is coming home!"

Congratulations. I bet you're a great great aunt.
It was apparently a seven hour labor with only 35 minutes of pushing and she had the baby in the old claw-foot bathtub. I was surprised back when she first said she was going to have a home birth and even more surprised this morning to find out it was a water birth. My sister had all of her children at home and my mother's a CPM, but I'd never realized that was something my niece was interested in as well. I'd always figured her for a more conventional type.
It sounds like everything went very well and my niece is happy, so I'm pleased.

Congrats Zuul, and to the mother as well.
