    Default Get Well Soon Soup

Heinz have dusted off one of their better ideas.

Being able to personalise a Can of Tomato Soup with a "Get Well Soon" Message and have it sent to someone ill.

Admittedtly, it costs £1.99 and takes 3 days to deliver, by which time the person is likely to be better, but its the thought that counts.

...and its cheaper than buying flowers.

Ah, but canned soup has a long shelf life so you could order one for the name of each of your loved ones and have it on hand until needed!

...and if anyone ever looks in your cupboards, you'll look delightfully insane.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.

Isn't chicken soup the universal "get well" soup?

Yeah, tomato is a bit of a disconnect there.

Must be one of those weird, British, "oh but baked beans are a BREAKFAST FOOD" things.

My Dad (American) uses Tomato soup as a get-well soup. I prefer something with potato (not pomato, either). Never liked meat-based soup for getting well.

Tomato soup was always my mom's get-well soup and it serves me well enough now. I'm not actually that big a fan of chicken soup.
