    Default Google E-books

Google has opened its e-book store hoping to compete with Amazon and Apple and gain some market share in its march for Global Domination (or at least keep ahead of Facebook).

So anyone think this will be a success. Its a great chance to get a lot of copyright free books from ages gone but I don't think I will be getting any blockbusters from it.

Anyone know what format they are in or are we going to need a Google Android specific reader?

Last I checked, their public domain books were in PDF and also available through B&N's e-book store. I'm not sure what they'll do about new releases, or other books that have digital formats readily available. I'd assume they'd stick with ePub, since they're already making Android based readers that support it, and add some sort of DRM if they want to limit the device options for reading.
So, I'll whisper in the dark, hoping you'll hear me.
