I missed a lot of this story over the last couple of years, but is this it?
No more Randy Quaid?
I was holding out hope for one, last, blow-out Vacation movie.

This is the way Randy Quaid ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper.
It is sad that his down and out trailer trash characters he played so well was not actually acting at all. I've kind of followed this the last year and it is hard to believe how messed up he is.
But, what's the deal? Is he broke? Mentally ill? In need of a shower?

...and he is staying in Canada. Extradition for various alleged misdemeanours is not going to happen.

I'm always kind of amazed when people miss court appearances and generally give the finger to the court system, and then are surprised when warrants are issued. And when they complain about how persecuted they are, they always go back to the original (perhaps minor) complaint and ask why everyone's making such a big deal about it, and ignore the fact that they've piled up all the additional offenses and think they somehow aren't relevant.
Yeah, this perplexes me, too.
I was in court once--a traffic thing, not surprisingly--and watch a young woman, perhaps 25 years of age, be sent to jail for not completing her community service. Apparently, she hadn't even started it. I think this had started like
as a DUI or two, from what I could make of things. But yeah, she pretty much gave the court the bird, and then went to jail.
