Default Michael Cera vs. Jesse Eisenberg

In this corner, weighing in at 118lbs, Michael Cera. This Canadian actor is known for his roles in Arrested Development, Youth in Revolt, Superbad, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Juno.

    VERSUS

Weighing in at at 120lbs, Jesse Eisenberg. This American actor is best known for his roles in Zombieland and The Social Network. No, they are not the same actor.

    Who will win?

    THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.

I am pretty sure I did think these guys are one in the same.

I know that every time I see one of them on TV, I have to check which one it is. Until I started doing that, I had their movies totally mixed up.

They are truly the Charles Durning/Brian Dennehy of this generation.

I find Cera more appealing, as a general thing. He seems like a nice guy, where Eisenberg seems like he just might be a Nice Guy.

Although looking at them together here, they look nothing alike.

I always have to remind myself Cera was not in Zombieland. On the other hand, I think Jesse Eisenberg is the better actor so far. Cera has the range of a young Keanu Reeves so far.

Damn, it wasn't Cera in Zombieland?

I have to get back to work at getting them straight.

Their voices are more similar than their faces, I think, though they both have a serious case of puppy dog eye. When I was watching Zombieland it was difficult to remind myself that it was not, in fact, Cera. It sounded so much like him and was exactly the kind of character he plays. (Which is to say, it was the one character he plays.)

I've heard of neither of them, does it matter?

You make it sound like there is money riding on this.

*googles and wikis the pair of them*

I hereby declare for Jesse Eisenberg, he likes cats

Zombieland is one of my absolute favorite movies, and I haven't really liked Cera in anything since Arrested Development.

    ...

None of that is actually helpful to my decision-making process.

Eisenberg gets my vote for The Social Network alone. Damn, he made me hate Mark Zuckerberg so bad! Cera always seems to play pretty much the same role in all the movies I've seen him in.

Okay, I feel better knowing that Eisenberg was in both Adventureland and Zombieland.

Bonus question, is it just coincidence that Zombieland ends in an amusement park?

Only one of them wants to be your huckleberry. Also only one of them is related to me (er...Holliday, not Kilmer).
