I'm taking a break from my Victorian kick to read the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, which my friends Joe and Angie got me for my birthday. It's been an interesting read so far, 20% (no page numbers on the Kindle) into the first book. Simultaneously utterly unique and painfully derivative. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
