A great talent indeed.
I think my favourite of his works was the little-seen Tune in Tomorrow.
My wife and I can no longer hear that someone is an Albanian without having to suppress chuckles.
This is one of my all-time favorite comedies. Falk is sublime as the possibly
mentally ill CIA operative.

Wow, I never heard of that movie. But Keanu Reeves (who is damn good eye candy even if he's not the world's most talented actor) and Peter Falk both in the same film? That sounds worthwhile right there.
I saw this earlier today. Falk was great, I don't think he ever had a role where I did not like the job he did. I mean Columbo and the Grandfather from Princess Bride are obvious but his work in The In-Laws, Murder by Death, Castle Keep, Too Many Thieves, Cookie, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, and even in crap like Robin and the 7 Hoods was always great.
Tune in Tomorrow sounds interesting, I think I'll add it to my Q.

"Serpentine! Serpentine!"
See him in a small but important (and surprising) role in the German drama Wings of Desire, too. Good stuff.
He will be missed.
