Default Post your original Fib poems here

A Fib is kind of like a haiku, in that there's a specific number of syllables in each line. In this case, it follows the pattern of the Fibonacci Sequence, where each number in the sequence is the sum of the previous two numbers. The poems usually have 6 lines, so the syllables per line are 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8.

Here's a bad example I just came up with:

    This
    is
    a nice
    place to spend
    some time if you have
    creativity and humor.

I'm sure the Mellos can do better.

    Dear
    God
    What did
    I eat now?
    My office smells nasty,
    Like sun-hardened baby puke, gross.

    Math
    and
    Japan,
    I'm a fan.
    Poetry for geeks.
    I love you, Fibonacci-san.

Thanks for your kind words, Sarahfeena, but as far as I'm concerned, it gets better:

My son (who is smart) has a friend (who is scary, super-gifted, freakish, does-10th-grade-work-in-5th-grade smart). The friend came over tonight, and we discussed Fibonacci sequence poems at the dinner table. I rejoice at having dinner companions who think this is a worthy dinner table discussion topic! This is the poem my son and his friend came up with over chicken pot pie (nb: "poem" = two syllables here):

    A
    Fib
    Poem:
    Not a lie,
    but a math poem.
    A gift from Fibonacci's mind.

    If
    spring
    never
    comes, will we
    ever have summer?
It seems such a long way away.

My daughter's only 6 (well, nearly 7), and I think she will be that kind of kid, Hat. Not freakishly smart, but just interested in all kinds of esoteric things. It's pretty cool.

    I can't go
    outside to play cause
I have to do my work. Dammit.

Nice. It also looks a lot like the right hand side of a Gaussian distribution, adding to the nerd perfection.

    This
    thread
    calls me
    to write more.
    How can I resist?
I will give in to desire.
