RIP Elisabeth Sladen - Sarah Jane Smith no more
Elisabeth Sladen, best known for playing Sarah Jane Smith, one of Doctor Who's best companions, has died aged 63.
An excellent actress playing one of the more fiesty female companions, who was around three of the Doctor's incarnations, the character was good enough to be given its own series for several years.
She will be missed.
In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
That sucks.
No! Oh geez, this is awful. She was still fairly young. I'd had no idea she was battling cancer.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.
Sigh...I realize now that she was the first companion I remember...she was actually older than I thought, but too young to die.
That is really sad. We were just watching season 3 of the Sarah Jane Adventures last week. She was among the best companions ever.
