Seeing that his companions seem to have everything in hand where it comes to fixing up people and the ship, Toff will keep watch for anything that might be a danger to the party.

If the captain has no objection, Boyd will go along with the doctor, Eley's No. 3 pistol in his pocket. He will help or protect the physician, as necessary.

The hull of the craft is cracked well on the outside of the sick bay, but Lore and Ian are able to use some supplies from the craft to patch it up. That seems to have been the only place where the Cassowary sustained visible damage, though some items inside the craft had shifted around during the brief skirmish without being damaged.

Klara finds Frau Friedrich hiding in the galley. She'll have to fill the nurse in on what has happened, as Frau Friedrich had remained out of sight throughout.

Onboard the Pinguinus, Lefevre and Boyd will find three men inside. One is unconscious and laid out on a cot, presumably Uwe the navigator. One of the able-bodied men grabs a bag of tools to head out, muttering in German about the girly looking doctor dooming Uwe. The one remaining introduces himself as Mathias and explains Uwe's injuries. When their ship had been struck, glass from a shattered window had embedded itself in his thigh and he fell and hit his head. They'd given him the best first aid that they could, but he'd slipped unconcscious during the flight to land. Lefevre finds that Uwe has lost a great deal of blood through the leg injury and may have lost too much to survive.

The two crewmembers of the Pinguinus who are outside are now busily working on fixing some damage to their craft. It appears several rotors were nearly destroyed from the attack, which would explain the difficulties they were having flying.

"Could you help us next?" one of them calls in German to Lore and Ian.

Smythe will keep his eyes out, with Boyd following Lefevre to chaperone her on her medical work, and Ian and Lore help tend to the other ship. His specialty standing largely in shooting and hunting, he keeps his arms at his side, his eyes following the scenes, looking for any suspicious actions.

"Are we operational? If so, lend aid as you can. Keep a sharp look-out, all hands. My compliments to Frau Friedrich for seeking safety during the hostilities; I was too busy to order it or I would have done so. What account can the men of the Pinguinus give us?"

Lefevre's first priority will be stopping the bleeding. Assuming the wound can be closed up to some satisfaction, next would be the only sort of blood transfusion known at the time: mixing a little bit of every donor's blood with the patient's, then using whichever donor's blood doesn't coagulate. Hopefully a match will be found. The doctor, of course, will also open a vein.

Nate spends his time staying out of the way and keeping an eye on the horizon in case we have any more people taking an interest. He will be quite happy to stay there until called.

"Aye, sir, we're operational. We'll look o'er th'other ship an' see what we can do." With that, Lore will follow Ian over to the Penguinus, examining the damage.

Klara will give the Frau a rapid-fire overview of what's happened with the pirates and the other rotocoptor.

"The doctor might require your assistance, so if you would like more information, perhaps I can give it to you en route?"

Boyd is a bit taken aback at the doctor's unorthodox (to him) treatment methods, but watches closely.

Frau Friedrich asks Klara a few more questions about what happened on their way to the other ship. Then the nurse begins assisting the doctor. The scene may be somewhat disturbingly bloody to Klara.

Lefevre's attempts at cross-matching blood likely look more like witchcraft than medicine to observers, but a match is found with Mathias and a transfusion is made. The doctor does not think Uwe's chances of survival are very good, but he is stabilized.

The repairs on the Pinguinus are somewhat difficult, but between everyone's skills they manage to get it operational once more. The Pinguinus crew are quite interested in receiving directions back to London and getting back in the air as soon as possible.

While they work, the crewmen of the Pinguinus relate what had happened. The Prince had sent them over the Channel to check weather and flight conditions and they had been due back before the Cassowary was scheduled to leave, but then the large purple dirigible had appeared and demanded their surrender. When they refused, the dirigible began to hary them and drive them further out to sea. Once they were sufficiently isolated the smaller airships had appeared. The dirigibles seemed reluctant to actually damage the Pinguinus, intent on its capture whole. After a lengthy standoff shots were finally fired, damaging the Pinguinus and injuring their navigator. Before the navigator had fallen unconscious he'd attempted to direct them to the Cassowary's most likely route, since they were being kept away from the shore. None of them know anything about the dirigibles or where they came from. The Pinguinus was ill-prepared for the attack, being manned with men more knowledgable of engineering and weather than defense.

Lore listens intently as he works, but doesn't ask many questions until the story's finished.

"So, y'were out 'ere checkin' th'weather?" Lore asks the crewmen casually, as he puts away his tools. "How long've y'been aboard?"

"Today?" They look somewhat confused by the question. One answers, "We took flight at six this morning."

Nate suggests that it might be wise to head to the nearest town and send a telegram back to the Prince letting him know what has happened and what our intentions are.

Dr. Lefevre gets Uwe as comfortable as possible, since there isn't much else to do at this point. "Are you at all injured, Mathias?" If not, he'll clean up as best he can and they can go out to find out what is happening.

Smythe does more Intimidating Standing There With His Rifle-ness, keeping his eyes scanning the grounds, waiting for any cue of treachery.

Mathias shakes his head at Lefevre's question. "Just a few bruises from getting knocked around the cabin."

When the Cassowary was landing they passed a town to get to the open field. According to the charts, it's Margate. As a popular seaside resort, it will have a telegraph office. It would only be a short walk to leave the farmland behind.

If the captain requests, Nate is happy to go and send a telegram to the Prince. A walk in the fresh air is always bracing.

Nate finds a telegraph office within a few minutes of reaching Margate. They're able to take the telegram from him immediately.

While the rest of the party waits, does anyone do anything or question the Pinguinus crew further before allowing them to leave?

Smythe is listening, but for his own reasons, darkly does not have much interest in getting to know the crew of anyone he's watching while holding his rifle. Being that he's trying to prepare himself to kill any of them should they move on his crew, untrusting of anyone's intentions except for his own crew at this moment, he doesn't much want to talk to the people he might have to shoot.

So he waits, and is prepared to provide any cover necessary.

Nate enjoys the walk to and from Margate and having delivered the telegram to be sent makes his way back to the Cassowary.
