I'm aghast at your last list, EH! Well, I only saw AmHistX semi-recently just killing time, and I never saw SchindList, and only might have seen CityGod (is that the one with Constantine and stuff? Cause a movization of the Aquinas book would be cool, but I don't think so. But *Goodfellas*? OK, *Fight Club* I only saw like six years after it came out, but still.

And, yes, *BV* *does* hold up! Goddam right! Fuck Heinekin.

sorry for the font size -- put your glasses on, already, gramps! I was compelled to look up....CityGod....that won a bunch of awards and shit. I was thinking of *Kingdom of Heaven*, which was all right, I guess. So, no longer that aghast, since I haven't seen 2 out of 5 of your list either. Anyway, carry on. Obsessive addendum, OUT!

I just looked down the IMDb.com Top 250 list, and named the five highest-rated flicks I hadn't seen... and perhaps never will.

Five good names for a maid:

    Helene
    Brigitte
    Veronique

Because of course she has to be young, curvy, eager to please and French. Duh.

I'm a huge Civil War buff!

George Dewey, hero of the Spanish-American War, was a young naval officer during the Civil War.
The Confederacy did not lay a single mile of new railroad track during the entire war; they had a hard enough time maintaining the railroads they had.
The Confederate charge at the Battle of Franklin, Tenn. in Nov. 1864 involved more troops, covered more ground and took longer than Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg, Pa. in July 1863, but remains much less well-known today.
U.S. Maj. Gen. George G. Meade, victor at Gettysburg, was born in Cadiz, Spain to expatriate American parents.
The house in which Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Va., was disassembled after the war and re-erected during the Great Depression.
