Default James Cameron filming the Marianas Trench

For his next movie after Avatar, James Cameron is filming "Ghosts of the Abyss", which apparently involve sending people filming to the bottom of the Marianas Trench.

No-one has been down there since 1960, but that's not going to stop the blockbuster director.

I wonder what its going to be like.

Good metaphor for his directorial style.

How many times did they go there, and how long did they stay?

This could be seriously cool to see. Deprive the man of a plot and just give him some pretty visuals to toy with and he's a genius like no other. It's the actual storytelling that's the problem.

Don't start that on this board.

There are a lot of questions left from that one trip down there, so this could be seriously amazing. Our technology has changed and improved a lot. I'm excited thinking about weird critters we might get to see.

If he winds up creating a documentary on the Marianas Trench with a voiceover from Richard Attenborough, it would be well worth it.

Oh, that would be. I'd rather have a documentary on the Marianas Trench than another Avatar movie.
