Default BBC loses ageism claim from former presenter

Miriam O'Reilly has succeeded in her case against the BBC for dropping her on account of her age and for victimisation after several stories came out in the press.

The Countrywide program which covers rural affaris was shifted from a morning to an evening slot, and at the same time three of the presenters, all female, all over 40 were dropped in favour of younger presenters. The main presenter, male and in his 70's was still in his role.

    More on the story here

It's good to see a case like this won, where the bias is pretty obvious.

That is truly amazing. Hard to believe that the BBC could be that stupid. Let's assume the unlikely case that there really was no age discrimination, and it was TOTAL coincidence that they replaced three "mature" women with three younger ones while keeping the old guy. I can't believe no one said "um...guys? You wanna rethink this for a moment? Because even though it isn't based on age discrimination, it sure looks like it is."

Wow, that is some pretty obvious bias. I'm really curious about what their thought process was. "Oh, we'll replace all the women with new younger ones in one fell swoop. There couldn't possibly be anything wrong with that!"
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.
