It's currently seems to be all the rage for a celebrity to release a perfume that "captures their essence".
I have never seen or heard of anyone buying one?
Does anyone here buy them or know someone who buys them?

In the land of the blind, the one-arm man is king.
I don't, but some of my friends do. I'm often amazed at how brand conscious some of them can be, since I rarely know these things exist until I'm informed that everybody who matters owns such things.
So now they are just dirt-covered English people in fur pelts with credit cards.
I'm not into perfume, and I'm not into celebrities, and I'm not into brand names (for the most part ), so no. Never understood the point...if I WAS going to buy perfume, at the prices they charge I'd probably go for something from a known cosmetics/perfume manufacturer (like Chanel or Estee Lauder). I figure when you buy something expensive, that's the time to go for the brand names, to make sure you're getting something with some experience/quality behind it. (Although in reality, those brands ARE owned by known cosmetics/perfume manufacturers, but something about the celebrity brands just seems cheesy to me.)
Nope, never have. I might, if I thought it smelled really nice. And it wasn't associated with Paris Hilton.
My youngest sister and I both use different Harajuku Girls fragrances. Those are Gwen Stefani's perfume line with the little doll bottles.
So, I'll whisper in the dark, hoping you'll hear me.
I don't - I have two favorite scents, one by Chanel and one by Givenchy. (I really only wear scent on weekends anymore, though, since I can't for work.) Having a celebrity attached to it would make me less likely to consider any given fragrance, honestly, even if I actually liked the celebrity, which is not the case for a lot of the Smelly Smell by Famous Person fragrances out there.
