    I thought you needed to be a member to do that?

    I believe, and someone will correct me if I'm wrong, that guests can only reply to Front Page articles, which draws them into discussions, but they need a membership to post to the main board or participate in chat.

    There was also the Ask the Expert Forum. That allowed guest posting for the same reason. That experiment failed though and Zuul closed the forum. It was an idea that a few of us came up with as Mellophant was starting up.

    Yes, guests can post to the front page articles. They then go into a moderating queue and then get posted if accepted.
