But how do you prefer it?
Why should coffee get its own way, and there are so many more flavours anyway?
Black with or w/o sugar
White with or w/o sugar
With Lemon
Herbal tea for me
However jali says it should be taken
I'm not refined enough

You forgot sugar. I take mine with sugar only.
I like my tea but rarely or iced but when I have a cup of hot tea, I like fairly generic and with milk and sugar or just some honey.
Black, without sugar. If I'm drinking tea, I want to be able to taste the tea itself.
Sweet tea is, of course, an entirely different creature.

I really like black tea with a little milk and sugar.
Green tea I drink plain.
I like black tea no sugar or milk but will take either sometimes. On it's own a nice strong cup of black tea is sooo nice but if you're having biscuits or a sandwich it's nice to have milk and/or sugar. It's a rich tapestry.
No 'it depends' option?
I don't drink green tea often, but when I do I tend to just use a little honey. Black tea and some herbals...it really varies. My favorite tea from my teahouse tastes great plain, but letting them add sugar and warm cream makes it euphoric. I don't drink plain iced tea, either. It has to be sweet.
Green tea we drink plain or with a little honey.
When sick, it's black or green with honey, lemon and whiskey in it.
A pitcher of iced tea is in our fridge year-round, lightly sweetened and richly enlemoned.
Most herbals I take both milk and sugar.
Basically any way tea gets to me is awesome.
Science flies you to the moon; religion flies you into buildings.
Like Rivers, I like sugar in my tea.
And milk.
How much sugar? As I never tire of explaining to people, it depends how big the cup is.
I didn't make the world this way, it was like this when I got here
For black tea, I like leaves, boiled in a billy, with some sugar. And I like chewing on the leaves afterwards. Some people seem to think this is gross or something. Ah well.
I like looseleaf green tea and I usually drink it plain. I've tried mixing honey in it but I dislike how it settles to the bottom of the cup and the honey interacts oddly with the tea molecules. I usually only drink tea if I want something hot but less caloric than hot cocoa.
I don't think so, therefore I'm probably not.
On ice, with lemon. No sugar.

Gimme milk and gimme sugar. Nothing more divine on the planet.
Put the milk in the cup, preferably 1% or 2% milk, never cream, and pour the good strong black tea in. No need for a spoon.

I had some black tea with cream, honey and spiked with some cinnamon. It was remarkably wonderful.

Hot herbal tea with honey. I'm actually going through a tin of peppermint herbal tea right now, and it is wonderful.
So, I'll whisper in the dark, hoping you'll hear me.
Peppermint tea with nothing in it.
I like green tea also.
I've never tried tea with milk or sugar, so I don't know if I'd like that. Reading this thread has given me the idea to try it.
This morning I'm having my tea in a huge mug with a wee bit of sugar and a wee bit of milk. It's a fortifying brew.
Damnit. I only have gross green tea left in the cupboards.
There is nothing wrong with green tea, get some sushi and have an oriental day.

I like black tea, hot or iced, with nothing in it.
That said, I also like my iced tea with a bit of peppermint in the summer. A shot of amaretto or schnapps in it is a good summer cocktail.
I do like green tea with sushi, but am not fond of it otherwise. There are a few herbals that I find drinkable. With the holiday season coming up, Celestial Seasoning's holiday teas come to mind.
Right now, I'm sipping on some Twining's Earl Grey, made from loose leaves in my pretty pink teapot and served in a big Notre Dame china mug.
